BE AN ENCOURAGEMENT

Acts 27:22 NLT
But take courage! None of you will lose your lives, even though the ship will go down.

We see in this portion of scripture that men are on a voyage to Rome and among them is Ap. Paul. 
The seas get turbulent along the way and the ship is out of control. A lot is tried to keep up but not much has improved actually it worsened to the point in verse 20 that   _“….all hope that we would be saved was finally given up.”_

In verse 22, Paul stands up amidst them and casts hope to them after all hope had been given up. 
He gives them assurance that none of them was to die no matter what happened to the ship in which they sailed.
He delivers to them a word according to the word he had received from the Lord. He encouraged them.

Child of God, we are a light of hope. In that circumstance, situation, that staggering boat, you are to restore hope in men. 
Give them Hope, a light that help is on its way, be the reason they do not give up, encourage their Faith by the truth of God that you know.
Remember Paul was in the same ship and was actually headed for prosecution but this did not stop Him from building hope in them.

JOT OF VERACITY
Let us be of help in trying comments to the men with us, giving them hope through Christ, lets encourage faith however little has remained, lets build it up through the word and not break it.

PRAYER
Father I thank you for the word that I receive understanding to be an encouragement in challenging times. My words and opinions restore hope in the hearts of men, they are comforted by the comfort I have in Christ in Jesus’ Name, AMEN

Necessity Of Fasting

NECESSITY OF FASTING In the book of Mathew 9:14-15,we realize that the groom left only when he spent 3 days in the grave. We all believe in His resurrection and the bible clearly tells us that when we received Him He begun to dwell in us, in other words the bridegroom is with us still. So why then do we fast?? Many christians have it on their minds that it's because they fast that they receive results simply because they received results after some serious days, weeks, months, or even years of fasting, this is a very inconsistent way to go about fasting because if you think that what Jesus did on the cross is not enough, then how much more is your fasting insufficient?? , you can't help God by fasting.
