IMITATE ONLY GOOD

3 John 1:11 NKJV
 Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.

To imitate is to take or to follow as a model, to follow after one’s example. It can be in speech, or deed. 
Paul in (1 Cor.11) tells the people at Corinth to imitate him as he imitated Christ.
Imitating Christ is what qualifies one to be imitated by others.

In our theme verse, John writes to Gaius a beloved friend warning him to take caution and not to follow what is evil, for doers of such do not know God.
This is because you are responsible for your life and the things that you do.

Child of God, you should not just imitate anything no matter who did it, evil is evil and will not be good because you saw someone doing.

This calls us to get grounded in the truth so that we are able to clearly tell the difference and know what is right. 
We have to test everything and prove it is right, then we can hold fast to it.

JOT OF VERACITY
Be vigilant that you do not imitate evil, guard yourself from them, test and prove what is right, hold to that and reject that which is evil, for the life you have received is so precious, paid for with a price so great.

PRAYER
Thank you Lord for the word. I thank for by the Holy Spirit, I know what is right and of God and Hold to it. I imitate what is of God in Jesus Name…Amen

NECESSITY OF FASTING In the book of Mathew 9:14-15,we realize that the groom left only when he spent 3 days in the grave. We all believe in His resurrection and the bible clearly tells us that when we received Him He begun to dwell in us, in other words the bridegroom is with us still. So why then do we fast?? Many christians have it on their minds that it's because they fast that they receive results simply because they received results after some serious days, weeks, months, or even years of fasting, this is a very inconsistent way to go about fasting because if you think that what Jesus did on the cross is not enough, then how much more is your fasting insufficient?? , you can't help God by fasting.
