THE HEART

Daniel 6:14 NKJV 
And the king, when he heard [these] words, was greatly displeased with himself, and set [his] heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he labored till the going down of the sun to deliver him.

The heart refers to the innermost part of our being. 
It is associated with our spiritual, emotional, and intellectual lives.
The bible says out of it comes issues of life.

Daniel was a devote man, serving the Lord, and also in the king's service, as the most excellent and most preferred by the King. 
Conspiracy is made by other servants and a decree signed by king against Daniel.

The king on the otherwise after realizing the outcome of his decree regrets it and "set [his] heart on Daniel to deliver him"

The king had already signed a decree and it was well known to him and all the land that it could not be changed, but see him, he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver Daniel because his heart had been set.

When the heart is set on a thing, we will do our best to see that it happens. 
We can not have our heart set on a particular thing and then do nothing about it, no.

Even when Daniel had been thrown down, even in the night, till early in the morning, the kings heart was still with Daniel and his gladness was only back after Daniel was delivered. 
What is your heart set on child of God?

JOT OF VERACITY
When the heart is set on a thing, we will do our best to see that it happens. We can't afford to just sit back at it.

Necessity Of Fasting

NECESSITY OF FASTING In the book of Mathew 9:14-15,we realize that the groom left only when he spent 3 days in the grave. We all believe in His resurrection and the bible clearly tells us that when we received Him He begun to dwell in us, in other words the bridegroom is with us still. So why then do we fast?? Many christians have it on their minds that it's because they fast that they receive results simply because they received results after some serious days, weeks, months, or even years of fasting, this is a very inconsistent way to go about fasting because if you think that what Jesus did on the cross is not enough, then how much more is your fasting insufficient?? , you can't help God by fasting.
