THE POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS

Philippians 2:9-11 KJV
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

  In one of our Devotionals we learnt about the role of the parents in our spiritual walk whereby one of the ways they do so is in the inspiration God gives them in regard of our names.
   The Jewish culture believes that names carry a great impact on someone's life whereby they define or influence your character.

In our theme scripture the Word is telling us how God gave Jesus a name above all other names. But we have to note that according to the wisdom of God, names defines our identity and positions in the Spirit - authority.
Now we understand why Ap Paul makes such a statement

The name Yeshua which is Jesus in English is translated as salvation, meaning that our Lord was given authority and power to save us from anything whereby He Himself is salvation.        The same word salvation there means perfection, conversion, rebirth. That's why there's no other name from which man is saved 

So I introduce to you a name which has never failed. As the psalmist says in *Ps 33:16-17* my brother and sister just call on the name of Jesus and that situation will bow, it's in that name that we are perfected

PRAYER
Heavenly Father I thank You for the Word today, I appreciate the riches of Your Grace towards me which introduced me to the name above all other names. I know that with that name no weapon formed against me shall prosper. In Jesus'mighty name Amen

Necessity Of Fasting

NECESSITY OF FASTING In the book of Mathew 9:14-15,we realize that the groom left only when he spent 3 days in the grave. We all believe in His resurrection and the bible clearly tells us that when we received Him He begun to dwell in us, in other words the bridegroom is with us still. So why then do we fast?? Many christians have it on their minds that it's because they fast that they receive results simply because they received results after some serious days, weeks, months, or even years of fasting, this is a very inconsistent way to go about fasting because if you think that what Jesus did on the cross is not enough, then how much more is your fasting insufficient?? , you can't help God by fasting.
