2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
FORGIVENESS; IT STARTS WITH YOU
One of God's strategy of forgiveness is that He doesn't look at what you have done in the past but instead He calls you a new creature and the old is gone.
Forgiveness is through forgetting, you only forgive by forgetting the past & start over the new life
Forgiveness begins with you. You first forgive yourself even before the person you wronged forgives you.
Yeah your mistakes can come with scars but you have to accept it that it happened and forget the past then you start over. It's all about forgetting the pain, anger and the hurt which came with that mistake.
The reason why forgiveness starts with us, is that we may protect our hearts from anything especially anxiety because out of it flows the spring of life
So if you don't forgive yourself, you make it difficult for your inner man to receive the forgiveness from another person.This is because anxiety crushes the spirit and a crushed spirit who can bear. Meaning that here you have even made your spirit weak to sustain you from other challenges. This person even if his forgiven, he still has that fear and conviction in him that's why Apostle Paul in Romans 12:2 advises us to renew our minds
✍️ Forgiveness starts with you inorder to guard your heart from anxiety and prepare it to receive forgiveness from the other party

Father Lord I thank You for the Word today, I thank You for the Grace to renew my mind from the wrongs I did, they don't define my present nor do they carry an effect on the new life You have given me Amen.
