Acts 12:5 (NKJV): Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.

GOD'S SUPERNATURAL INTERVENTION

In preceding verses to our theme scripture, the Bible says Peter was in prison,Herod had planned to bring out after Passover to the people and execute him because it pleased them.

I would want to bring to your notice in this case that, the church had options on what do, the believers would have chosen to demonstrate on street or go on fight because their leader was the one being tortured here.

It will interest you that they chose to hearken to the voice of the holy spirit, who before time told them that Herod was just acting the real thing was that the weapon of their warfare is not carnal.

It wasn't easy to choose that way ,but they chose to go with the Holy ghost, not despising anything He would tell them as for the ways of men would have options.

In similitude, there are certain situations in life today that is beyond our cabilities, our finances, our connections and jobs . Such situations only require God's supernatural intervention which you can only initiate by prayer.

Peter and the church found themselves in such a situation where they were persecuted by the king and they had no one to turn to except God, so the church offered constant prayer to God for Peter and God intervened supernaturally

GOLDEN NUGGET:
As believers we out to perpetually live by faith , constantly praising God with thanksgiving in prayer.
